RKWard 0.3.3 is released

Monday, 10 October 2005 Tfry

Together with the new website, a new version of rkward is now available. Changes in the new release can be grouped roughly in these categories:

  • Feature additions: Options to archive downloaded CRAN packages, and to select custom repositories. Context help in the console via F2.
  • User interface: The user interface is now somewhat more consistent. For instance, all windows can be closed with Ctrl+W, and the menu options get updated according to the current window. New icon by Marco Martin
  • Backend enhancements: A number of internal changes have been made. What should be noteable to regular users is that RKWard now behaves sanely, if you run commands like "fix (myfunction)" or "help (print)". Also warnings are now displayed correctly in most cases.
  • Plugins: A first step has been done to rework the plugin infrastructure. The next release will see further improvements
  • Cleanups & Bugfixes: A number of bugs has been fixed, many sections of dead code have been removed, several areas of the sources are much cleaner, and more well-documented, now.

For a complete list of changes, please see the changelog in the download section. Please give the new release a try. We welcome all feedback to the mailing list.
